Established in Mauritius since 1997, Confident Asset Management Limited is an independent, privately owned company operating under licence from the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (FSC).

Since the company’s inception, we have been operating in the field of asset management for both individual and institutional clients, in Mauritius and abroad.

Laurent Desvaux de Marigny

Managing Director & Portfolio Manager

Holding a Master’s degree in Finance (INSEEC Paris, France) and a Higher Technical Diploma in Management and Accounting (Lycée Privé Levavasseur, Réunion Island), Laurent Desvaux de Marigny joined Confident Asset Management Limited in 2000 as a Portfolio Manager. After gaining experience in the real estate sector, he rejoined Confident in 2014 and became Managing Director in 2019, leveraging his expertise in portfolio management and financial strategy.

Olivier Delos

Portfolio Manager

Diplome en Sciences Juridiques (HEC, Belgique). A graduate in Legal Sciences from HEC Belgium, Olivier Delos began his career in the Compliance and Private Banking department of Dexia Bank International in Luxembourg. Before joining Confident in 2005, he worked as an Administration Manager at Premium Asset Management Ltd in Mauritius.

Ingrid Béga

Portfolio Manager

Holding a Master’s in International Business from Curtin University (Australia) and a BCom in Marketing Management from the University of South Africa, Ingrid Béga worked for seven years at Investec Bank (Mauritius) Limited in private banking and specialized finance. She joined Confident in 2013 and currently serves as a Portfolio Manager.

Elodie Maubernard

Portfolio Manager

Elodie Maubernard holds a Master’s in Wealth Management from Université Paris 12 - IAE Gustave Eiffel, a Master’s in Private Law, and a Bachelor's in Law and Economic & Social Administration from Université Paris 1 - Panthéon Sorbonne. She spent eight years in Wealth Management at Société Générale in France before joining Confident in 2019, where she now serves as a Portfolio Manager.

Roumesh Oomah

Investment Officer & Senior Financial Analyst

Roumesh Oomah holds an MSc in Financial Economics and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Mauritius. He began his career in the financial sector in 2011 and joined Confident as a Financial Analyst in 2017. In 2023, he was appointed Investment Officer & Senior Financial Analyst and currently chairs the Investment Committee.

Dominique Ah Ching

Executive Director & Corporate Services Manager

With a BSc (Hons) in Management Studies, Dominique Ah Ching joined Confident Asset Management Limited in 2004. She is now Head of Corporate Services and has been a Board Member since October 2024. Her professional career started in the administrative and financial services of industrial companies in Mauritius, where she developed expertise in business management and financial administration.

Roshan Seetaram

Head of Legal & Compliance

Holder of a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M) in International Commercial Law, a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Kent (United Kingdom), as well as a specialisation in Investment Management from the University of Geneva in collaboration with UBS, and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification, Roshan Seetaram has worked in various financial institutions and several law firms in the United Kingdom and Mauritius before joining Confident.

Renaud Lagesse

Chairman of the Board

Holding an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a BSc in Agriculture (Natal, RSA), Renaud Lagesse founded Confident Asset Management Limited in 1997 and currently serves as Chairman of the Board. From 1997 to 2018, he acted as CEO and Portfolio Manager of the company. Before founding Confident, he worked as Head of Private Banking at Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild (OI) Ltd and began his career as an Agri-Business Manager for the Shell Group in Mauritius.

Antoine Delaporte

Independent Non-Executive Director

A graduate with a Master’s degree from ESCP Europe and an MBA from INSEAD (France), Antoine Delaporte is the Founder and Managing Director of Adénia Partners, a private equity firm specializing in the acquisition and development of medium-sized companies in Africa. His entrepreneurial journey led him to Madagascar, where he created, developed, and later sold three textile companies. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1994, he gained extensive experience as a Manager at Bain & Co, working in both Paris and London.

Robert Ferrat

Independent Non-Executive Director

A lawyer admitted to both the Mauritian Bar and the Paris Bar, Robert Ferrat has been a member of Confident’s Board of Directors since October 2024. With over 25 years of experience in business law, he is a founding partner of LEGIS and Partners Ltd, a business law firm based in Mauritius. He advises leading international corporations, investment funds, governments, and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, development projects, and strategic investments, particularly in the infrastructure sector. He is also an expert in negotiating complex contracts and assessing legal risks.
